The impact of pornography in society

One of the interviews conducted in the TV news “CNN”, the author of “Pornland; How Porn Has Hijacked Our Sexuality”, Gail Dines points out that pornography it’s affecting the way men thinks about themselves and the way they construct ideas about sexuality. Dines also notes that the more men view pornography, the more they begin to think like the pornographic world. However, one of the greatest impact that porn has in society is in the relationship of a couple. Women whose partners have been habitually using pornography, they feel betrayed. Those women feel like they haven’t been good enough.
A survey performed in 2003 by “Today's Christian Woman” found that one out of every six women, including Christians, admits struggling with an addiction to pornography. Researchers have long known that the Internet has contributed to pornography addiction in both men and women, by making it so easily accessible. Another Internet porn statistics in 2008 found that about 30 percent of Internet pornography consumers are women. Finally, we know that man is usually more addicted to sex than women. But consumption of the internet pornography changed the way we develop. In this case, much of society (men and women) has become addicted to pornography.
